Not necessarily. It's completely normal for tracking to show a package sitting at one facility for several days while it's still moving through the carrier's network. If things seem unusually quiet, we'd recommend reaching out directly to the carrier. They have the most up-to-date information and can look into it for you.
Before reaching out to us, we'd ask you to do a quick sweep first. Packages are sometimes left in unexpected spots like a side door, mailbox area, garage, or leasing office. Check with anyone else at your address who may have grabbed it. It's also worth waiting a day or two, because carriers occasionally mark a package delivered slightly before it arrives. If you're still coming up empty, contact the carrier directly. They can pull delivery details and open an inquiry if needed. If you’ve taken all these steps and still can’t locate your package, reach out to us at [email protected].
Please take photos of both the packaging and the contents as soon as you notice the damage, then get in touch with our customer care team at [email protected]. We'll work with you to make it right.
Contact us as at [email protected] as quickly as possible, and we'll do our best to catch it before your order ships. If the package has already left our warehouse, we unfortunately can't redirect it. Orders returned to us due to an incorrect address may require an additional shipping fee to be resent.
Our US website ships to the US and Canada only. If you're in Europe, you can shop directly through our European site at eu.diamonddotz.com.
Yes, we do ship to PO Boxes. However, please check with your local post office to make sure the size of your PO box is compatible with the size of the package you will be ordering. Packages that are too large for your PO Box will be returned to us as undeliverable and may incur an additional shipping fee.
No, we currently do not offer shipping to FPO addresses.
We want you to love what you ordered. If for any reason you're not satisfied, you can return your purchase within 30 days of your order date for a full refund. All returns must be pre-approved before you ship anything back, so please reach out to us at [email protected] first.
If we sent you the wrong item or your order arrived damaged or defective in some way, we'll send you a prepaid return label and get the right item out to you right away. If you're returning because you've changed your mind, return shipping costs are your responsibility. We’ll provide you our current returns address, and you can send via the carrier of your choice.Once we receive the package in good condition, we'll process your refund promptly.
Just drop us a line at [email protected] before sending anything back. Our customer service team will walk you through the process and make sure your return gets handled as smoothly as possible. Please don't ship anything back without getting approval first. Unapproved returns may not be accepted.
Let us know right away at [email protected]. We'll send you a prepaid return label and get the correct item on its way to you as quickly as possible. We'll also cover the original shipping charges in these cases.
Returns and exchanges must be handled directly through the retailer where the product was purchased. Each store manages its own return and exchange policies, and we’re unable to process those for in-store or third-party purchases.
If you purchased your kit on the Diamond Dotz website, please email [email protected] for replacements. If you purchased at a store, please contact the retailer where you purchased it for assistance with a return or exchange.
If you’re missing DOTZ® needed to complete your project, we can send replacement diamonds, even if the kit was purchased from a retailer. Please fill out the form on our Missing DOTZ page to request your missing DOTZ.
You can also request a refund or exchange from the retail location where you purchased your kit.
You’ll need the kit number (located on the canvas or the box), the 4-digit number of the missing colors (from the symbol key), and your contact information, including name, phone number, and email address.

Diamond painting is a fun craft where you apply small, faceted resin or acrylic “diamonds” (commonly called “drills”) onto a sticky canvas to create a colorful sparkling design. Diamond painting is a popular hobby because there is no experience needed to get started, and the end result is a lovely piece of art.
Each diamond painting canvas is printed with symbols that match specific diamond drill colors. Peel back a small section of the protective film, pick up a drill with your diamond painting pen, and place it onto the matching symbol. As you work section-by-section, the design comes to life.
Yes, it’s easy to learn how to diamond paint. Most kits include everything needed to start, and many designs are suitable for first-time crafters. Beginner kits often have smaller canvases and designs that use fewer gems.
Most diamond painting kits are recommended for ages14and up. Our Dotzies products, which are made specifically for kids, are recommended for ages 6 and up.
While it's different for everyone, a good rule of thumb is that it takes about an hour to complete a section that’s the size of your palm. That means small or partial-drill kits can take a few hours, while larger full-drill canvases may take several days or weeks.
A standard canvas diamond painting kit includes a printed adhesive canvas, pre-sorted diamond drills, a diamond painting pen, wax, a drill tray, and instructions. Some kits may include additional tools or accessories. Every kit is different, so be sure to check the Kit Contents section on product pages for more detail.
Yes, most kits include all the basic tools needed to complete the project. Optional accessories like specialty diamond painting pens, a light pad, or storage cylinders can enhance the experience but are not required.
No, diamond painting kits vary by project type, drill size and shape, skill level, and size. It is important to weigh all of these factors when choosing the right diamond painting kit.
Diamond painting kits are available in a wide range of sizes and project types. For example, beginner drink coasters kits and no-frame-needed Dotz Box and Dotz Décor starter kits are suitable for quick crafting sessions. Alternatively, canvas diamond painting kits can feature large, detailed designs for advanced crafters.
A full-drill kit has a canvas that, when complete, will be fully covered in diamonds (with no background showing). A partial-drill kit has a canvas with printed areas—either the background of the canvas, or elements of the design—that are intentionally not covered in gems. Learn more about the difference between full- and partial-drill diamond painting kits.
No, the symbols and drill colors are different for each kit, so a symbol on one kit will most likely be a different color on another kit. DIAMOND DOTZ® kits come with all the colors you need, and the color chart matching the symbols to the drill colors for that kit is printed right on the canvas for easy reference.
The drills in most diamond painting kits are made from resin or acrylic. Resin drills are known for their shine and durability, helping finished paintings maintain their sparkle over time. Learn more about diamond drills.
No, they won’t under normal conditions. Once your project is complete, roll a Dotz secure roller or a rolling pin over your dotted surface to ensure all drills are secure and flat on the adhesive. If your project has specialty drills, use your fingers to apply pressure once those drills are in place.
Both have advantages. Round drills are easier to place and are popular with beginners. Square drills fit tightly together and create a more detailed, seamless look, sometimes preferred by experienced diamond painters.

You’ll use a diamond painting pen (often called a stylus) dipped in wax or putty to pick up the drills and apply them to the sticky canvas. Some diamond painters also use tweezers or vacuum pens to place drills.
Pour a small number of drills into your diamond painting tray, then gently shake the tray from side to side. The gems will naturally settle into the grooves of the tray with the flat side down and the faceted sparkling side up. Avoid over-filling your tray so that the gems have space to settle easily on their flat sides within the grooved channels.
Roll your new canvas in the opposite direction and hold for 30 seconds before you start your project. Some customer also roll out the canvas flat and place heavy books or other objects on the canvas overnight to remove wrinkles.
DIAMOND DOTZ canvases are sewn at the edges to prevent fraying. If you’d like to trim your canvas (for example, before framing), do not pull at the edges of the canvas.
Have you removed the protective film from the top and bottom of the wax piece? You need to do this in order to coat/load the head of your stylus with the wax.
The basic tools you need are a diamond painting pen, wax and a tray; these standard tools are included in most kits. Some customers prefer to upgrade their tools, lights, and storage options.
Yes, diamond painting pens come in various styles, including single-placer, multi-placer, LED, ergonomic, and specialty resin designs. Upgraded pens can reduce hand fatigue and speed up placement.
If your wax is sticking to the drills when you place them on your canvas, try using less pressure when picking up the drills. You can also try to pick the drills up from the side or twist your diamond painting pen a little as you lift off when placing the drills onto the canvas.
Try removing the old wax that’s inside the tip of the diamond painting pen and replace it with new wax. A push pin or paperclip can remove the wax from the tip of the pen. Then make sure you press the wax into the pen by pressing the tip against a hard surface.
You’ll need to use wax or putty in the pen to pick up the drills. Make sure you have removed the protective film from the top and bottom of the piece of wax before pushing the pen into the wax. Make sure the wax is in securely, then remove any excess before picking up your drills.
Many diamond painters use labeled storage containers or bead boxes to sort drills by color. Keeping tools and supplies organized helps prevent spills and makes projects easier to manage.
Glass is optional according to personal preference and is not required nor encouraged as it is reflective.
No sealant is necessary for DIAMOND DOTZ diamond painting kits, but some diamond painters prefer to seal their finished kits. Whether you are sealing or not, make sure that all drills are securely in place on your finished project by rolling a Dotz secure roller or a rolling pin over your dotted surface. If you would like to seal your diamond painting, use a sealer specifically made for diamond art, like Dotz Guard. These products remove any leftover stickiness from the adhesive that is still visible between the drills, which can prevent dust and hair from getting stuck in the adhesive when you display or store your finished piece.

Yes! Roll the canvas with drills facing inward.
Use a microfiber cloth, lint-free towel, brush, or similar tool to remove any dust. You might need tweezers if hair or other items have been caught in the adhesive. You can also use a damp cloth to gently remove dust from the drills. Be careful not to twist the canvas or apply too much pressure when cleaning.
Finished diamond paintings can be stored flat, rolled with the drills facing inward, and hung up on a wall with or without a frame. Avoid heavy pressure to protect the surface.
Diamond paintings can be framed like traditional artwork. Some people trim the canvas edges and mount it on backing board before framing.
Yes, diamond paintings can be mounted on canvas stretchers, poster hangers, or display rails for a frame-free look. There are many other creative framing solutions for finished diamond paintings as well.

When we partner directly with artists, their artwork is created without the use of AI. Supporting artists and their creative livelihoods is very important to us.
In some cases, our in-house designers use AI or AI-assisted tools in their designs. When this happens, the artwork is always revised, finalized, and rendered by human designers, and we clearly label when AI assistance has been used.
We sometimes license artwork from external sources such as stock libraries or independent licensing groups. While we try to avoid AI-generated artwork in these cases, we can’t always guarantee AI wasn’t used.
AI detection tools are not fully reliable and can sometimes incorrectly flag human-created artwork as AI-generated. Because of this, we rely on sourcing information, disclosures, and professional review rather than detection tools.
Every DIAMOND DOTZ® design, no matter where it comes from, is carefully rendered by hand by our design team. This ensures the artwork translates beautifully into the diamond painting medium and meets our quality standards.
