WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY FINISHED DIAMOND PAINTING CANVAS?
Make your Diamond Dotz® finished canvas into a T-shirt? That’s right. If you’ve got a stash of finished diamond paintings and you’re wondering what you can do with them, this is a very cool idea: make a T-shirt! Follow along as we show you how you can trim up your Diamond Dotz® canvas, and then use Dotz® Stick adhesive to glue it to a T-shirt. You’ve spent a lot of time dotting your design – if it's stuck in a pile somewhere in your craft room, why not make it into a sparkling piece of fashion you can wear and show off?

CHOOSING THE RIGHT CANVAS FOR YOUR T-SHIRT
Take a look at your collection of finished diamond painting canvases, and decide which one you’d like to transform into a T-shirt. The number one consideration to keep in mind is the size of the design – it obviously needs to be smaller than the front of your T-shirt.
Since it’s October and we’re feeling a little spooky, we chose Midnight Cat for this easy project.
GATHER THE SUPPLIES TO DIY YOUR DIAMOND PAINTING T-SHIRT
- Your finished diamond painting canvas
- Dotz® Stick brush-on adhesive
- Paint brush
- Scissors
- T-shirt
PREPARING YOUR DIAMOND PAINTING CANVAS
Since Midnight Cat is a partial-drill diamond painting (meaning there is a part of the canvas surrounding the cat that is not covered in Diamond Dotz® gems), we trimmed the design very carefully right along the dotted area of the cat.
If the design you choose is a small square or rectangular shaped full-drill diamond painting design, simply trim right along its straight edges. You’ll want to trim off the color key, and any other printed information like the name of the design, the Diamond Dotz® logo, etc.
ADHERING YOUR DIAMOND PAINTING CANVAS TO THE T-SHIRT
Turn your trimmed diamond painting canvas over and squirt some of the Dotz® Stick brush-on adhesive onto the back side of the canvas. Don’t apply too much.
Use the paint brush to brush the Dotz® Stick onto the canvas using even brush strokes. The Dotz® Stick adhesive should cover the back of the canvas in a consistent manner.
Let the Dotz® Stick dry until it is slightly tacky to the touch.
Position it as desired on your T-shirt, and smooth it in place with your hands.
Meow! You’re ready to prowl! This is a great look for all the cat lovers out there or for those who simply like the mystique of a black cat. We think it’s just purr-fect!
